Ken & Nadine Groen, Regional Superintendent
Dear Central Region
Ministers,
A NEW YEAR. NEW BEGINNINGS
Hello Central Region ministers,
Happy New Year! I am excited about
what the Lord has in store for the Body of Christ and for Central Region
churches in particular. God is at work and is going to do great
things in us and through us in 2006. At the beginning of this new
year, I want to announce to you some changes in leadership personnel
in our region.
Also, Spring Conference is just around the
corner. It’s going to be a special one! John and Carol
Arnott, of theToronto
Canada
Airport
Christian
Center,
will be our featured speakers. There will be numerous workshops,
luncheons, etc. I want you all to be part of it. We only get together
in this fashion once every two years, and we’re a family, so
let’s get together. April 18-20 in Des
Moines at First
Church.
Full details coming in the mail.
In Your Balcony,
Ken Groen

New MAK District
Superintendent
Jeff and Kristi Tyler have faithfully served for several years
as our District leaders inMissouri, Arkansas and Kansas.
God has led Jeff to accept the pastorate of the Open
Bible
Church
in Lawrenceburg,
Kentucky.
Their last Sunday in Sedalia
was January 8. They are moving this week to their new home in Kentucky.
In fact, Jeff has already been appointed a District Superintendent in
the Eastern Region. I will miss the passion that Jeff brought to our
regional leadership. At the same time, I am happy to announce that Joe
Van Den Berg has been
appointed to be our new MAK District Superintendent. Joe is no
stranger to our region, having served as regional youth director and as
a regional board member for 18 years. While Joe has not pastored, he
well understands the needs of pastors and ministers and will serve the
MAK District and our region well. As you know, Joe also serves as our
National Youth Director, so he will be a busy man. Joe and his
wonderful wife, Ruthanne LeLaCheur Van Den Berg, live in Belle Vista,
Arkansas and will make a great leadership team. Welcome, Joe and
Ruthanne.

New Regional Prayer
Coordinator
I
am happy to announce that Randy Bixby has accepted the position of
regional prayer coordinator. I have waited some time to fill this
position and know in my heart that God has wonderfully led and
provided. Randy too is no stranger to Open Bible and to our region.
He served as our National Youth Minister and most recently as associate
pastor at First
Church
in Des
Moines. Presently, he
is establishing the Prayer
Center
for the Nations in Des
Moines and Central
Region is excited about partnering spiritually and financially in this
venture. Its ultimate goal is to be a 24/7 prayer and training
center. We’ll be talking more about PCN at Spring Conference in
April. Randy and his lovely wife Tammy reside in West Des Moines,
Iowa.

New
Women's Ministry Coordinator Carol
Dingeman has capably served our region as women’s ministry
director for 18 years. She has felt in her heart that this is the time
to hand the leadership baton to someone else. Thank you, Carol, for
your faithful service over the years! We’ll be honoring Carol at
Spring Conference this year! I didn’t have to pray long about
this one. It was obvious to me that Pam
Lumbard was the person for the job. She has served the West
Central Iowa District well in this capacity for the past several
years. Her annual women’s event has become on of the largest and
strongest not only in our region but in the nation. Pam is excited
about coming to this position and God is putting a lot of things in her
heart. Please welcome Pam to this position and work with her to
strengthen ministry to and through women in our region. You’ll
be hearing more from her both at Spring Conference and at our Elevates,
which will be held at seven locations this year.
